Punky Scraps Challenge 48 ~ Picky! Picky!

Hello, all! This post is a couple of days late and I am very sorry for it. Life's little interruptions are always unexpected and I've had my share of them lately. But I wanted to make sure I did not miss even one of my DT assignments, so I stuck it through until I completed this little birthday card for the Punky Scraps Challenge 48.

Every month one of the DT's each choose something for the Get Picky Challenge. This month's "Get Picky" picks are:
Amy - Anything brown
Nat - use 5 different patterned papers
Elin - use splashes of paint
Mandy - 5 lines of journaling
Cheryl - Tulle/Mesh/Burlap
Sara - Butterflies
Kim - Denim

Birthday Card. Out of the Get Picky picks, I used brown, 5 different patterned papers (from Echo Park's This & That Charming Collection), splashes of paint, burlap, and denim (I cheated and colored the little guys pants a denim color). The stamp is from The Greeting Farm and colored with Copics.

Making A Splash ~ Punky Scraps Challenge #46

Hello, all! I have missed you! I've been dealing with a loss in my family and it's taken me about a month to even begin getting back to normal. I have not scrapped in all this time, which is the most I have ever gone without scrapping since I began the hobby. I am glad to say that I was happy to see the Punky Scraps inspiration photo for this month because I was instantly inspired to create the following page. Thank goodness, I say!

Punky Scraps Challenge #46

Making A Splash Layout. This is my cousin's beautiful daughter again. Here she is competing in a pageant in the swimsuit portion. When I saw the inspiration photo of the challenge, I immediately thought of tropical colors and flourishes. And I knew this picture would be perfect for a theme that included them. The paper is from The Paper Studio, the flowers from Prima misted with some Lindy's Stamp Gang mists, the alphas are from Thickers, and the flourishes were handmade by me with liquid pearls and craft plastic.
